Composting certifications of Zhongxin’s sugarcane plup tableware

We take our efforts to make the world a better place very seriously. Composting may greatly reduce the volume of organic waste produced, and the compost produced can be used in agricultural and horticultural applications. Organic material makes up around half of all household trash, a number that is expected to rise in the future due to the growing popularity of biodegradable items (packaging, disposable cutlery and plates, etc.). The following composting certifications of our products are verified by the third-party organizations:

OK compost INDUSTRIAL

The OK compost INDUSTRIAL label guarantees that packaging or products will biodegrade in an industrial composting facility. This holds true for all parts, inks, and additives. The harmonised EN 13432: 2000 standard serves as the single reference point for the certification program; nonetheless, any product bearing the OK compost INDUSTRIAL emblem conforms with the EU Packaging Directive (94/62/EEC).

OK compost HOME

The temperature in a garden compost heap is visibly lower and less consistent than in an industrial composting setting due to the comparatively small volume of trash involved. Composting in the garden is thus a more challenging and time-consuming operation. The OK compost HOME certification system, developed by TÜV AUSTRIA, ensures perfect biodegradability in accordance with strict requirements, even in your backyard compost heap.

Seedling

TÜV AUSTRIA (previously Vinçotte) is a European Bioplastics-approved certification agency that can award the Seedling emblem to products that comply with EN 13432. TÜV AUSTRIA’s certificate holders can have their compostable products recognized throughout the European market by awarding both the OK compost INDUSTRIAL and the Seedling logo.
